Seriously, we had a cat that was just like this. Our family hated it but because my sister had some weird affection for the damn thing we couldn't get rid of it.
For years we were stuck in stalemate with my family wanting the cat gone and my sister sticking up for it until the cat peed on my sisters head while she was sleeping (I imagine it happened just like the last frame of the comic, only the cat started peeing). We haven't had a cat since.
